Just to bring you up-to-date briefly for a short bio, here's a list of some of my achievements in the last 50 years.
* Currently Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing and Management in the School of Business at Long Island University--Brooklyn Campus.
* I previously taught full-time at the Southampton College Campus of LIU for eight years from 1991 to 1999.
* I have one son who is a lawyer, living in Las Vegas and working for one of the leading gaming companies that produces gaming equipment (slot machines, gaming tables, etc.) He is a patent attorney and invented a new table for Texas Holdem.
* I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with Honors (what else?) with a major in Political Science and a minor in Journalism.
* I have an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University with a combined major in Marketing and International Business.
* My first job was as Assistant Promotion Manager for Playboy Clubs International in Chicago.
* I always liked writing and promotion, and I spent my career in business in marketing communications. I was a Vice President of Market Planning and Public Relations for the Beverage Group of Nabisco Brands for 12 years. (For six years, I reverse commuted to an office in New Hyde Park. We often went to Roslyn for lunch and passed by the old high school. Our office was right next to the Great Neck South High School along the service road of the LIE.)
* After that, I was a Vice President and Account Supervisor of Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon & Eckhardt (one of the top 10 advertising/public relations agencies in New York).
* In addition to teaching, I keep busy in the business as a marketing consultant to a wine and spirits importer/producer in New York.
* My wife is retired after 22 years of working for a prominent investment banking firm as a financial analyst. (She was in finance before we were married, too.) It's a small world, since she went to grade school with Bobby Frankfurt, who was at their reunion a few years ago. The school was on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where we live today. We also have a weekend home on the East End of LI in East Quogue, where we spend our summers, too, relaxing, reading and going to the beach.
