Well here goes my life story
for the past 50 years:

After finally graduating from college (C.W. Post College in 1963), I served 6 months with the N.Y. National Guard and had a 5 1/2 year military obligation to fulfill.  Jobs consisted of working for Franklin National Bank in NYC as a commercial credit analyst; then an accountant for General Motors Overseas Operations in NYC.  Did this until December, 1969 when a decision to move to Orlando, FL was made. Worked as an accountant for Buena Vista Construction Co. (prime contractor for Walt Disney World) and was responsible for accounting for all labor and material costs to construct the Magic Kingdom.  This was from 1970 to 1974. After that, I spent the next 15 years working in the Indoor Foliage business for several large companies such as Weyerhaeuser and Ralston Purina as an accountant rising to the position of Assistant Controller.  During this period, I also inlisted in the Army Reserve and lo and behold, in September, 1990, our unit was mobilized and    sent to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  My unit was an Electronic Warfare Aviation one, flying RU21 fixed wing turbo prop planes.  My job was to coordinate the missions as we were flying along the Kuwait/Iraq border, gathering enemy electronic transmissions.
After returning to the U. S. in May, 1991, I remained on active duty with my reserve unit and acted as the Unit Administrator whose duties included returning all unit members and equipment to a reserve status.  I did this until March, 1992 when I took an accounting position with the Florida Department of Corrections.  I did this until March, 1993 when I began a training program to become a Probation Officer.  I completed the program in August, 1993 and was certified by the state.  From September, 1993 until March, 2003 I worked at several state prisons as a Correctional Probation Officer.  This meant that I went to prison every day.  The only difference between the inmates and me was I got to go home each day and they did not.
I retired in March, 1993 and am loving every minute of it.  Jackie, my wife, and I have been married for over 41 years, have two sons, Drew and Erik, and three grandchildren (two boys, one girl).  As our family is spread out between Illinois and Georgia, we manage to do quite a bit of traveling in our 1999 Corvette.
